During the initial conceptual stages we define the business and project KPIs, develop a solid understanding of your industry, products and/or services, your competitors and how you want to be perceived in the industry.

Develop strategy
All custom design projects start with developing the intention and strategy behind the project. We explore the feasibility of ideas and develop solutions to how to communicate and sell effectively.
03.
Visual Exploration
Once the strategy has been cemented then we move forward with the creative direction and visual exploration. This stage involves narrowing down the most aligned design outcome. We typically only present one concept which is considered and powerful.
04.
Execution
Once the concept and creative direction is approved then we move forward to designing, developing and executing. We offer two levels refinements throughout the project scope before the final designs are completed and any post project requirements are met before handover.

Each project in our bespoke design solutions is unique. After your initial discovery call we will give you an estimated timeframe.

Absolutely! Our standard payment schedule for bespoke projects is 40% deposit, 30% due 3 weeks prior to start date and 30% balance due before handover. Alternatively can offer adjustments to this if required.

We work with Squarespace as it’s approachable, flexible and easily updated and managed by clients. We want out clients to feel confident in navigating and updating their website so we include a video tutorial on how to easily update. With coding we are able to achieve the visual look and added touches without. We will give you advice in the initial stages if Squarespace isn’t the right fit and recommend you a wonderful developer who will be able to support.

For our custom websites it can be anywhere from 2 - 6 months depending on the extent of the project scope. Most websites will fit into our design intensive solutions so reach out and we will let you know.

Whilst we integrate principal SEO practices when we build all websites, Advanced SEO is best undertaken by experts in this field to support you in achieving the best outcome. If you would like further support in this area we will provide you with recommendations.

Absolutely! Just before the project goes live I record a video for you which will give you the in's an out's of Squarespace so you can easily update, amend, add product etc.

Your website is hosted via Squarespace so you will be required to purchase a plan with them. Through Half Light Studio you are eligible to receive 20% off your first year.
In regards to your domain name you will need to purchase this separately - I recommend Go Daddy as they integrate well with Squarespace and great customer support.
